The Yet - World Turned Upside Down and On Board
The World Turned Upside Down is a brooding, menacing swirl of rotating sound, relentlessly driven by a dirty industrial piston boiler room. The lyrics jab out like a boxer's fists with apocalyptic warnings.
In contrast, On Board is both a thank you love song for the sacrifice of your man/woman to the relationship and a song about friendship and comradeship in pursuit of a common dream. The vocals are beautifully delivered with a simple but sublime guitar track.
The Yet album (appropriately) is in a constant state of not being quite ready for release. A shame because from the exclusive tracks I've heard on Radio MuzikTree it is a hidden treasure. |

Waster debut album
WASTER’s debut album ‘Bullet Holes But No Airs & Graces' bounded onto our CD player like the Monkees with facial piercings and System of a Down Beards, and fronted by the peter Cook of punk Mike Rivis, this is ten tracks of polished commercial Green Day pogo fodder. Tracks such as 'Leave It Alone' and 'Don't Say Nothing' have cracking melodies and if there ever was such a thing as 'Summer-Punk' , this would be it. Imagine Dodgy trying to scare their girlfriend's parents.
